[color=purple] This is gonna sound really dumb, but how do i edit my profile?

go up to the line which says log out, user cp etc.

and click on user cp
from there u can edit your profile

Firstly, Welcome to the Forums!

Now, for your question, in the theme you are using, there will somewhere be the words 'User CP'. Click on that, and then you will see options down the side. Then go to 'Edit Profile', change all you want/need to change/edit, and then click 'Update Profile'.
