Menu change?

O.P. Menu change?
We have a user who currently uses messenger 4.7 for exchange which does not currently support logging chat sessions.  This person has been accused of harrasment and thus we would like to start logging his chats.

We think Messenger Plus! would be a great solution for this, but, we wanted to install it without the user knowing we did.  The only real difference that we have seen so far with Plus installed is that Plus! appears in the file menu.  Is there a way to remove Plus! from the file menu so it runs in a hidden mode?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or answers.

No there is no way to do this. You are invading your user's privacy and Plus! is never designed to serve that purpose. :)

I appreciate the answer.  We actually are not invading their privacy as we own the equipment and they read a warning logon message stating this each time they login.  We are completely within our legal rights to log chat sessions, we just currently are looking for the best method to do it.

Well, I understand you, but still, Plus! has no functionality to hide itself from Messenger. You may need another program to achieve this :)

MSN Messenger only signs in .Net Messenger Service, and its logging can be turned off without any administrator's knowledge... :)

You can set a password to lock the preferences panel and prevent the user from going in there and changing the logging options. If you say that privacy concerns are not an issue because ther user is aware, then leaving the Plus! menu but blocking it with a password shouldn't be a problem either :).

Just hope that on the specific computer they do not have access to the registry to delete UDataP.
