O.P. flashing conversation window
i removed the sound but is there any way to remove the flashing alert when someone sends you a message in the conversation window? i usually have it minimised and get distracted when it comes up flashing on the taskbar. ?

You could use the Enhancer script which allows you to disable the flashing.
