For some reason, my HDD adaptor died today, and i now have no access to alot of important data. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could by a new adaptor from (an actual shop, nothing online plz, oh and in Australia).

What I know is that it has two outputs, one 5v and one 12v. It is the same hard drive mentioned in this thread at another forum, so the connected will be the same. Its a round type connector.

Any help would be much appreciated

Take the adapter to your local electronics shop and ask them if they got a generic one that matches (if it's not a WD custom plug)

If that doesn't work out, try taking the case apart and just plug the HDD right into your pc. (probably voids your warranty though...)
