I'm using a sync utility that syncronizes my files, including logs, but it has  problems with the file 'Recorded events.txt'. It tells me the file is in use... which I can understand because there is almost some activity on MSN.

But how does Msgplus really handle Recoreded events.txt? Is it an exclusive lock or what?

I'm basiclly asking if this problem is related to MsgPlus or my sync software.


Any suggestions? A a workaround or anything?

i would suggest that it is having problems because plus is keeping the file open so that i can write to it straight away... the way to let your sync program to copy it is to exit messenger and then sync...

Yeah, I think so too.

But the sync program should be able to read from the file even if it's opened (if msgplus didn't use an exclusive lock or such), no?
