Hi,
I know that in WLM 2011 my contacts are displayed only by "full name".

To test some features of WLM 2011, I've added an Italian BOT (chattami@doriana82.it) and I've found that it's shown on my contact list with a display name that contains emoticons! Its profile on Windows Live shows "Doriana Ottantadue", but on WLM 2011 I see " - Doriana82 ", with emoticons "translated" into images.
How is it possible? Maybe there is some trick to set a display name that works only for BOTs?

Everyone can try adding that contact...

They probably have that set to their name in their Windows Live profile, which will cause it to show up that way in Messenger.

As I said in the post, the profile name is different.
And in the profile name it's not possible to put any emoticon.

One thing I've noticed though, when you're offline (disconnect), it does show your contacts' display name in the conversation windows.
