For other files, why not search the web for the filenames to get more information about them? It's hard to say what's safe to delete, because every computer is set up differently and has different programs installed.

I know you can safely delete File000*.chk... those are pieces of data scandisk recovered, and are usually just junk.

All of the folders should stay, because they're probably either part of Windows or places where programs are installed.

America Online folder if you dont use aol (actually, use the uninstaller)
Autoexec.dos
Autoexec.ess
Config.dos
*.log
*.chk
Tweakui.zip/tweakui.inf
july14_loader (virus?)
EXACT AD...exe (dunno what it is)
Also the two installers

There is probably more stuff but without having access to your machine its hard to tell whats needed for what..

A good thing is to go to your Control Panel ("Start" -> "Contol Panel") and then go to "Add/Remove Programs". In there you can remove programs you don't use anymore. If you are not sure what some programs do then don't remove them without getting more info. Some programs are needed for your PC to work right. It's best to always un-install programs first instead of manually removing files.

But if the files still stay there, look at WDZ's link and Chris' post, but once again be very carefull in deleting files you are not sure about.

Don't delete till you are sure. Better use add/remove programs.
