I just installed Messenger Plus 3 and it created a bunch of junk files in my favorites lists. I want to know how to get rid of them because they clutter everything! The toolbar was rather annoying too! help!
okay, well you installed the optional sponsor program, what you have to do, is go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall messenger plus, this will get rid of the 'junk', and now you can reinstall plus!... but when you get to the 'sponsor agreement' press 'i refuse do not insta...', it will carry on installation but will not install the sponsor.
In addition to traxor's post:
Whilsts uninstalling make sure you exit your internetbrowser completely, also do a reboot before you install again (to make sure all traces are gone). Note that if you used an ad/spyware removal program you have to reinstall with sponsor because those programs criple the uninstaller. After that you can uninstall and reinstall as mentioned.
