RE: Trouble using Stuffplug NG
what i did was just go to the windows messenger "tools" went into options > preferences and unchecked everything to do with logging in...

you can also try out programs such as tweaknow powerpack where you can choose restrictions for programs so that they never load...

also, a good idea is to get ad-aware personal (from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ ) and get these addons "Messenger-Control" and "OE-W Messengerctrl"

Edit: i'm not sure if this will help you out or not *-)

... i had a similar problem, but those things solved it... (ad-aware is free by the way) and tweaknow you have to pay for... and i'm not sure how you can create a restriction for the windows messenger program not to load... manually... with out tweak tools... sorry! :(

thats weird... r u sure you restricted the right one? i think its msmsgs.exe .. and i also restricted msmsgsin.exe... everything in the "messenger" folder... :^)

if that's not the problem than .. :( .. sorry i cant help you, its all i know.. maybe for some reason msn 7 is dependent on windows messenger in order to run on u'r computer *-)... but i never heard of something like this.... :^)

Edit: try ad-aware... and after you download them run the addins i mentioned in the post above. hopefully that will help.. *-)

eitherway good luck ;)  .. maybe somebody who knows more about those things will post and help you .. :)

:No-frost:, if you don't speak English well, you can go to the Spanish Official Forums (que si no chanas muy bien de ingles, puedes irte a los foros oficiales en espaņol)

I had the same problem, and i solved it reading this thread:

http://msgplus.keystorm.net/showthread.php?tid=1133

It's a translated post made originally by CookieRevised, but i have not found the original post in English, UnduTheGUn translated the post insto Spanish and posted it in the Spanish Forums, read it carfully and your problem will be solved, it talks about how to disable the Windows Messenger without uninstalling it
