I jus got a copy of doom 3. first tym playing it everything was great. but after a day or 2 sumthing to happened to my in game graphics. the lighting in the game has dropped makin the game extremely dark. i have obviously treid turnin up the brightness but no luck. the game was fine wen i first played it. what can i do to fix this?

Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed?
- NVIDIA Drivers
- ATI Drivers

Also make sure you have the latest  Windows Updates installed.

yeh i got the latest drivers. i fixed my problem
i reinstalled the drivers and restarted my comp. everything is fyn

i rememebr in a past thread someone had a problem with their game crashing...they opened their pc and found a lump of dust in the fan of the graphics card... lol maybe for you to?

what does reinstalling the game do?

Have you downloaded the latest patches and stuff from the doom 3 website or whatever, the ones that make the graphics on the game so much better? Try doing that, this may fix your problem in a way...

The game is supposed to be very dark in places, in some places, much darker than others...

blah looks normal , in some spots the game gets fair dark just whip out your flashlight and keep on trucking.
but if its still dark when using the flash light then you have a problem

it looks pretty normal to me to be honest... When I was playing the game, it got that dark in areas... Might be a problem with your graphics card but I doubt it, if I were you, I'd just carry on playing... It will get lighter and darker throughout the whole of the game, so just don't worry about it...

ok i no for sure that it isnt supposed to that dark. i have noticed that if i reinstall my graphics drivers it goes back to normal but after a while it will go back to bein really dark and unplayable
