Hi,

My Emoticons are not showing and the Emoticons are enabled in the Options and this has started after I installed MsgPlus!. Any ideas on what I can do please?

They are not showing neither in the Contact list nor in the Chat windows. I just see their code ie for example ( a ) without spaces instead of

Make sure you're not using Custom Names for your contacts, as this prevents the emoticons from showing (for now, there is no way to show emoticons in Custom Names).

I am using Custom names but does that disable all the emoticons from whole MSN?

It only disables the emoticons in the names (with Custom Names enabled), in conversation windows and contact list. The text you type in the conversation windows still has emoticons.

Are you using a plugin for MsgPlus! (like StuffPlug)? As some plugins disable emoticons from being shown while you type.

no only msgPLUS! no more plugins! Could it be something I can arrange from the registry?

So the emoticons aren't appearing when you type them to your contact in your msn? Or is it just your nikname and your contact list?

Try disabling the custom names to see if it actually is the problem

have you gone through the usual cycle of disabling plus? (ctrl+alt+dlt, stop msgplus.exe)

if this does not work have you tried restarting or reinstalling msn?

i had this problem just now, but it fixed itself after i restarted msn

restart and it worked
