Right here's the deal. My friend on msn sent me a link to a website which i thought was a bit suspicious. I clicked on the link anyway and a file called IMG000583.com was downloaded to my computer. I scanned the file with Norton Anti-Virus and it came up clear so i ran it and now my pc seems to be running very slowly and programs keep freezing. Does anyone have an idea how i could fix this? Thanks

update your definations and run norton in safe mode

Press Ctrl Alt Delete and check for the file IMG000583.com or IMG000583, and end task it if its present. Also delete the file from your computer if you haven't already. Then do what Absorbation said ^

you can also check it with spybot, m$ antispyware and stop suspisious proceses, you may check if  sometnig strage starts when the computer boots and erse it from there
