O.P. OS Version on Desktop
Ok, i found a tweak thingo in a mag that told you how to put your OS version on your desktop like so:

problem is i can't find the magazine that it was in, and i dont remember how i did it? can anyone tell me how it is done? i wanna do it on my other computer *feels dumb*

Hi,

You could always use the Tweak UI powertoy from Microsoft (for XP) - just go to their website and search "tweak UI" and you should find it there, then just run it and the option is under "General"

thing is it wasnt a registry thing... i did it through windows! maybe it had a program on the CD that came with the Mag? i'll have a looky, thanx neways

BTW it wasnt the prog on that website :p (the one that MenthiX posted)

yes it was. follow that path on that site in the registry editor that comes with windows and it'll be set to 0. change it to 1.

i meant the one I used... i know that that one does the same thing.... what i wanted to know was there a way to do it in the windows setting or nething like that? but obviously there's not... hafta do it through a seperate program/through the registry.

and dont just say yes it was like it was a fact... because it wasnt
