O.P. no userpictures or statusmessages
Hey everybody..
because my windows xp computer crashed I have to use my Windows 98 computer [yeah.. it sucks -.-]
Anyway.. I have Msn 7.5 and Messenger Plus! 3 isntalled and up to now both worked without any problems. But somehow msn doesn't display the userpics of my contacs as well as their statusmessages anymore. I re-installed both msn 7.5 and Messenger Plus several times and also checked the settings but nothing works. [plus after some time msn crashes when I want to change my display name or open the setting]. Can anyone help me pretty please? ._.

MSN 7.5 on windows 98 [Image: msn_confused.gif]? MSN Messenger 7.0 above doesn't work on Windows 98. MSN Messenger 7.0 doesn't have the feature of display pictures or personal messages so therefore you can't see them.

OK check your firewall settings to ensure they are right and that it's setup to allow messenger to work properly.

Also check you don't have any proxies or stuff as well.

Easy... Find internet Explorer and right click, choose internet options, connections and advanced and it should be in that, check it's blank.

If there is something in there, then remove it and hit OK.

Also out of curiosity, which firewall are you using?
