My mic is getting too much feedback and I turn down the volume on both playback and recording setting and it didn't work, and I tried this with 2 different mics.

Mic Boost must be enabled. Open the volume control screen, then go to options -> advance controls.

Then you should see an 'advance' button under the microphone control. Click there and then disable Mic Boost.

If you don't see the microphone volume, go to options -> properties and then put a check mark on microphone.

and dont have it close to a speaker either. but thats probably really obvious.
