It is not look too good with contact's name break into two or more lines in the html chat log, is there any way I can stop msgplus to adding <br/> into the contact names ( I have un-ticked "Truncate contact names longer than:", although this is break not truncate )

I haven't tested it, but by reading what you've said, I doubt there is unfortunately.

I prefer it to just show the full name at the top, then it can cut it short during the chat log. The chat log is for the chat, long names being repeated every time can be rather annoying.

So I'd recommend sticking with that if it's not a problem, otherwise I can't help you with your line break problem, sorry.

Emm... I also like the long names at the top but when a single session gets too long you won't be able to see the names at the top, then seeing the names beside the conversation wrapped into multiple lines just feels weird. And for people with a wide-screen there is really not necessary to wrap names into multiple lines since there are plenty of space at the RHS.

Can I suggest to use % to control the two <td>'s width, so on low-resolution the name will wrap into multiple lines due to the nature of <td>, on a high-resolution the names can just fit in one line.
