There was no German translator to do the translation. However, according to Sunshine's reply to Messenger Plus! 5.10 released, there will be a German translation again soon.

I'm happy to tell you that German is now in (build 748). The buildnumbers have not yet changed on the site but the download gives build 748 which includes German ;)
