thanks for your answer
Hi,
A small correction: MSN is not 'offering' anything. Not even on a Windows OS. MSN is just a product name. The company making that stuff is Microsoft
But this said, it is not Microsoft who makes Messenger Plus!.
Messenger Plus! is created by a 3rd party, completely independant of Microsoft....
This said, the Mac does not have the same functionalities as a Windows OS has. It works completely different. So the methods and techniques you can use on a Windows OS, are not available on a Mac. That's one of the reasons why some stuff done in Messenger for Windows can't be done on a Mac; it takes a totally and completely different approach with completely different technologies.
Also, in Microsoft you have devisions for everything. The Messenger for Mac devision is completely different and independant than the Messenger for Windows devision (they even don't speak to eachother that much, if at all
), they have different budgets and resources (way less for Mac since Windows is Microsoft's main target of course), etc. As such, you will always see a serious lack in features on Messenger for Mac compared to Messenger for Windows.
Not saying that a Messenger Plus! for Mac can't be done (that is: not all features would be possible, but maybe many are), but it would require a complete different approach and a lot of time and effort as it needs to be created from scartch and with a limited platform to work on (since Messenger for Mac indeed lacks quite a lot of basic functionality to make addons like Messenger Plus!)... Something Yuna, the company behind Messenger Plus! at this moment, does not have.
