O.P. [Feature Suggestion] command execution from anywhere
I've just thought of a nice idea about msgplus commands.

Say i want to message Andy but i don't want to open the contact list and scroll through the names.  If I can press a shortcut key (for example CTRL+M) to open a dialogue box similar to window's run box.  Then I can just type msgplus commands into that box to do stuffs such as /msg, /block, /offline, etc.

For example, i want to message Andy via the desktop, then i would:
press "CTRL+M" to open command dialogue
type "/msg Andy" and press enter to open a conversation with Andy

It would be nice if this feature is implemented, just a suggestion :D

Some people have FAR too many contacts for that tbh.

The only problem is how plus! is going to identify your contacts. If you did it by e-mail address, then it would probably work.

I use custom names for all my contacts. So plus can recognize the conatacts by the custom names along with the contact helper

BTW i finally figured out what the contact helper is all about yesterday.

It is when you type /msg or /invite, etc commands and start typing the name of one of you contacts, a "helper" similar the the command helper will pop up with a list your contacts

I found this out totally by accident while playing around with the commands yesterday, I think this feature should be better documented.

a better way of implementing this feature would be to do what media player 9 did. have a specialised toolbar that appears whenever the main contact list isnt visable itd be the size of the messenger tray icon you click on it and all your contacts appear but in the same way that windows uses for the start menu so that they display in columns of screen height that you can scroll through itd make less scrolling thus making it a bit easier.

that is not the point...*-)  why whould you want a toolbar if you can access the contact list already?

the point of using commands is so that you don't have to take your hand off the keyboard and reach for the mouse
