This has been asked before. Please refer to this post CookieRevised's reply to how to sign in on appear offline?
Also the new MSN Messenger 7 has this feature, although it is still in its private beta phase

i think the last beta versions are public betas, but not 100% sure on this.

Try finding Jnrz Loader off of www.mess.be this enables polygamy and has an appear offline feature to it.
