A while ago a friend of mine said he could use his bluetooth enabled mobile phone as a remote control for his laptop. Is this possible? Sounds useful.

Thanks

Yes it is :)

It would be helpful if you could tell us what mobile phone you are using, and what do you want to do with "Remote Controling"

Thanks for the replies...

My phone is the Sony Ericsson w800i (the sexy white and orange one).

My laptop obviously has bluetooth too and I guess the main thing I would use it for if possible would be to pause/play/stop music etc. without having to go to the laptop. I'm sure I could find other things to use it for.

Thanks

You're lucky :P

Newer SE phones have a BT remote control funtion.
Yours should have it too.

But I would recommend to use FMA which can do way more with your SE phone, including remote control :)
There are also some scripts which allow you to control Winamp and WMP...
