O.P. Display Name not updating!! (WLM)
I update my display name, yet it updates in after a long time or sometimes never if I get logged out. Does anyone know what's wrong? Anyone got any fixes?

Its just lag with the servers your area connects to. It should resolve itself.

How can it be lag when it doesnt update in an hour?
Also, it appears that when this happens, I also get error code 80004005 too if I logged out...

have a look at this page to find out about the error code, perhaps you can find anything useful...

A trick I've found (because my display pic sometimes reverts to the previous one) is once you've changed your name/pic, log out immediately, then log back in again. This should solve your problem. Unfortuantely it's not ideal.

Unfortuantly, that didn't work too....
Lets hope this is fixed in the final version that is supposedly coming out in 3 days, along with my 80004005 error.
