Problems when video calling

O.P. Problems when video calling
Hello

Im using a Microsoft vx-3000 and when i make a video call the sound and the video stutters. i can type in the message box and that works fine but the video and audio still stutter. Any one had this problem???

I did and I just resolved it.

More specifically from that list you want to look at port range forwarding incoming traffic on UDP ports 5004 through 65535.

That page refers to a problem if you're receiving an error when trying to start a voice/video conversation, rather than it 'stuttering' as described in wycherley's problem, but can always try. :)

And that is exactly what mine was doing. Hence why I did a forwarded a range of ports to my laptop. UPnP didn't seem to work correctly. Although the ports were being added to the UPnP list I still experienced the stuttering and choppy audio. After I added the range of ports to be forwarded all was well again :)
