Is it possible to enable a function to access the Skype database to read the old chat logs?
There was in the Skype forum a program available which can access the Skype database after being logged in and read the chatlogs of previous conversations.
Would be nice, if this could be integrated also

Why would you want to access the database when you can store the chats on your computer? Have you tried the chat logging of Plus! for Skype? In future we may provide an option to store those online as we do with chatlogs from Windows Live Messenger.

I think OP is referring to conversations that took place PRIOR to Plus! being released for Skype.

(Or make Plus! be able to import the logs )

Right, either import or make the ones accessible before Plus was installed

Has Skype got no way to export their logs? It would be better for them to allow you to save them than for an extension to do it. If you have no access through Skype, it usually means there is nothing for developers to do it with either.

The Skype database with the stored chat history is nowhere else than on your computer. It's the file main.db. There are several tools to read it, among them a popular reader of nirsoft. So the first poster's question is legitimate and reasonable: Plus! might implement reading and/or importing the Skype main.db
