O.P. Custom emoticons gone?
Hey all,

For some reason my custom emoticons seems to have dissapeared.
Maybe it is due to the last messenger plus update (im not sure).
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get them back perhaps?
Im guessing the original backup file that holds the custom emoticons is still around somewhere in my Appdata/Programdata folders?

TIA for any info!

Plus! can in no way interfere with custom emoticons as far as I am aware.

Also, as far as I know, there is no "backup" file. All the emoticons are simply stored in one of the Messenger folders (with a renamed extension I think). It is most likely that if they are not being found, the files do not exist.

It may be an idea to run some sort of undelete tool (on that specific folder if possible) and restore them =/

Hmmm, strangely enough the CustomEmoticons folder has dissapeared:
C:\Users\<Account>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\<login>\ObjectStore\CustomEmoticons

Is there any explenation to how this could have happened otherwise?
(I never deleted them manually of course).
