O.P. Microsoft Windows Live Messenger 2012 and Messenger Plus! compatibility
On August 7, 2012, Microsoft released Windows Live Messenger 2012 as part of their Windows Essential 2012 suite. We are presently working on updates to Messenger Plus! for Windows Live Messenger to make it compatible with the latest Microsoft version and will update you when it becomes available. The current version of Messenger Plus! 5.5 still fully supports WLM 2011 and 2009.

that is not true at all 
I'm still using 5.11 because 5.5 don't work in my XP SP3 and WLM 2009  |

I'm still using 5.11 because 5.5 don't work in my XP SP3 and WLM 2009
neither of those versions cause crashes on 2009 with XP sp3 here
however, 5.11 and 5.5 both have the odd memory flushing on 2009  |
