yeah, i tried patching the msgslang.dll file while it was running and when messenger weren't running. Still the same error "couldn't open: msgslang.dll. Error: Open failed (while reading msgslang.dll...)

I'm running....

Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Version: 6.2.0133
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.01.0094

I think my msgslang.dll is buggered. anyway to replace it? Is it just a matter of uninstalling messenger and reinstalling?

How can I have multiline nicknames again?

Halfway November 2003, Microsoft blocked certain characters from being used in your MSN Messenger name, including one that allowed you to create multiline nicknames easily. If you want your nickname to consist of multiple lines, you'll have to download the latest version of the Messenger Plus! addon.

1) Open a conversation window
2) Type /nick followed by a space and then your desired nickname, using [SHIFT]+[ENTER] to insert line breaks.
3) Press enter and your nickname will change.

I hope tht works :undecided:

EDIT:haha sorry, i tried it, and it didnt work...But for the patch thing you have, exit msn completely right? then patched the msnslang.dll?
