Hello there is a bug with the Notifications, if someone have smiles in there name

i.e HexDude

then it comes out like

: P HexDude : p

But when they sign in MSN messeger does display it with the smiles

True, i just tested it.... i never noticed this before 

And also just to throw this in, sometimes when i sign in there are 0 users online then they all come on all of a sudden so lots of notification things come up, anyways, i think msn puts five on top of each other then stops but then plus puts a sixth one and you can't really read it.... not too sure if this should even be fixed but oh well

That may be because it takes some time to download the contact's statuses from the server.

to me thats a little boring to me. is there anyway there could be a tick box for smiles on or off??

You'll have to ask Patchou. I use Custom Names, so it doesn't matter to me.

This is not a bug. Its the exact same in MSN Messenger. You wont see emoticons on notifications.

It would be a waste of time to add that feature in because it would only cause formating problems on the notifications.

not true, MSN applies the smileys in popups =/

It's probably a case of it putting in the smileys when Custom Names are off, and not putting them in when Custom names are on, just like in conversation windows.
