I know this is going slighty off topic, but what did the people who dont live in britian, think of it. And where abouts did you stop/go to?
Food, people, transport, "culture", hospitality, etc...
Well lets see, my trip was with about 15 class members in school and it was all predetermined including food and stuff. For Reference, my trip was in the summer of 2002. London was our first and last place we were, and therefore, was the only place we were/I saw except for when riding the train under the channel.
Food: We did all the touristy stuff, Fish n' chips and stuff like that, but on the last night, we ate at Planet Hollywood
People: My mom, a few others and I went out one night to go to the Hard Rock Cafe so we could get some souveneir (sp?) shotglasses and most of th epople were fairly nice in explaining with Underground stops to take.
Transport: Undergrounds very convienent, that's pretty much all we took execept when we took the train under the Channel and when we took a bus to/from the airport.
Culture: It was interesting comparing a Monarchy to the Democracy of America.
Hospitality: I kinda mentioned that under People, hotels were very nice though, we mainly stayed at Bed and Breakfast's instead of large hotels.
Overall, it was a pretty cool place.
