O.P. firefox compatible?
I use firefox mostly, but to use these forums I often use IE6 because in firefox the *new thread* button doesn't appear at the top corner of the boards.
The main menu, my options menu and the plus! logo appear, just not this button!

I'm sure I've got all the plugins, does anyone else have this problem?

The new thread button is not supposed to show up on most pages. I'm not sure why you would seem them in IE, but on any givven page via showthread.php it isnt supposed to show to prevent acciedntal "new threads" as opposed to "new replys".

Uhh... a FireFox plug-in was blocking the New Thread button? :S Was it doing that by default, or did you mess up some settings?

O.P. RE: firefox compatible?
it was my fault, instead of getting it to block any element with the string
"/ad/"

I blocked anything with the string
"ad"

So the "new threAD" button didn't appear, and neither did the "sAD" emoticon.
