Look at this  - I guess me and Markus psoted at exactly the same time. My post showed up after his, but it says his is the last post!

I've noticed this before, it hadn't refreshed properly or something, it fixed itself when i pressed f5, so I wasn't too worried about it really .

that's probably because the latest post query of markus' post was done after yours, but the post was insered into the topic before..
i don't know sql, but that's how it happened probably.

No, F5 refreshing DOES NOT fix it. Just look at the main page (at tech talk) and F5 refresh.

MyBB only stores seconds, nothing more specific, so it's a limitation. Just don't post in the same thread at the same second as someone else...

I think that MyBB Revision 4 fixes that, but I don't know. I just briefly skimmed over it's features.
