This is a pretty damn good service they got going....

gmail + 50 invites = 51GB storage

Actually, will you ever be able to fill even 500 MB (almost the half of 1 GB) ?

They give so much space because you can't fill so much space with emails!

Well, you cant fill it with emails, but you can fill it up with other stuff, like songs!

I use my Gmail as my online storage space, and it has loads of songs inside it...

But, I think 3GB is far too much...Besides, I dont really trust that site...

Those sites are just a database for spammers. Like VenturaMail or something like that. When people first found out about GMail, many 1-1000GB "mail providers" rose. Many were just PHP scripts with no SMTP support (ie. only used mail()).

I wouldn't trust just any site that offered more than 100MB of space. Many companies do not have as much money as Google, Microsoft or Yahoo!

Its quite pointless to me that I can store 3GB of files on the internet...

With the current internet speed I have, I will have hell to finish using this space...

I have 2 gmails and with 50 invites each so acc to lee's calculations i can have a max of 102 gb but the point is all that is use less imo cause i have been using gmail for 2 months and combined i have been able to use like 12 mb only
So wtf is someone gonna do with 3gb
If u ask me the ppl giving this much space know its never gonna be used completely cause the max attatchment 4 gmail is 10 mb so u'll never reach 1 gb (normal sane ppl wont for another 10 yrs atleast ) so they make such offers but thats what i feel
