O.P. [Request] Send Song Command
The name of this thread should say it all, :P but i'll explain in detail of course.

I came to this idea because ever since I got this new version of MSN Messenger *cough* leaked (6) *cough* people can see what song I'm listening to behind my nick. (Cool feature.) But because of that, lots of people always ask me to send me the song I'm listening to. Since im getting fed up of having to search through my music folder all the time, I thought of asking someone to make a plugin that would make you be able to send the current playing song, with a command. Like Song2Nick had, but this plugin would just be for this single feature.

It should be compatible with at least Windows Media Player and Winamp. (Because I use WMP :P.)

I guess that's about it, so come on you plugin makers, do what you do best and make me a plugin! :P

Yeah it's a good idea :), and you could use the Send Files feature already on Plus! and just change it a bit so you wouldn't have to select every single song :)

Easy as hell!!! :P.. At least to make support for winamp.. as said before I never tried programming with WMP, but for the Winamp support would be easy as hell for me.. but beacuse of my computer breakdown I won't be able to do this ATM.. You would have to wait a litle or get some else to do it.. :D

Yes, PsychoMark, the creator of WMPlus has frozen development of v3 a long time ago :(. I have no idea if it will ever be released.

:P.. I don't know if it's possible to get it from the ID3 tag.. haven't tried messing with ID3 yet.. But there is a "dull and very ugly way to do it" but at least it works... :P..
Just sending the command to winamp to save the playlist, then open this playlist in the plugin and there you go.. file names, track title everything.. :P... Just get the number of the playing song and then get the filename for that number song.. :D.. as easy as that???... I know this is a very "non-professinel" method but I don't know about ID3 tag if it's possible to extract it from there?...

Does your plugin do what the thread is about or does it show/give the filename of the current playing song?.. If so then how did you do it?

Sounds interesting. :P

But if someone does make this then please make it WMP compatible cause otherwise 50% of people wont be able to use it, including me. :P

I don't know if this helps ^o) but if you right click on a song in WMP and click properties it shows you the file location. Also, in Winamp if you look at the ID3 tag doesnt it show the location at the top? (I'm not at home so I can't check here.) This probably isn't much help, but meh, bite me. :P
