is it possible to have a plug-in that will tell where someone has signed-in from like when it says that someone signed in from web msn? it could identify it by the persons IP.

If someone's IP is 11.11.11.11, and you are using it for the 1st time, it says that LOCATION UNKNOWN. WOULD YOU LIKE TO IDENTIFY IT? and then you type in something like HOME and it remembers it for next time.

well IP changes sometimes.. that wouldnt work

is there anything else you could identify it with?

Or how about you let your contacts' IPs be kept between them and the Messenger Service servers and live with it.

Also if people have your IP some people could try to hack you, i.e. people not on your contacts etc
