Hey, I wonder if you can give me a bit of help.

Every night my MSN signs out at exactly 1am (GMT). This has been happening for a while now but only noticed recently that it's at this exact same time.

Sounds a bit suspicious to me, could it be someone periodically trying to get into my MSN account?

Could be... is it just your MSN signing out... or does your whole internet connection go out?

Hm strange, do you have anything set to update at 1am? Computer or MSN based

I'm not sure.

What I will do next time it's 1am is open up MSN with another account just before the time.

If it gets disconnected on the other account then it's not a hacking attempt but probably a scheduled update that conflicts with MSN connectivity (like mwe99 said).

If I don't get disconnected on the other account then it is probably a hacking attempt by someone, which I will try and sort out by changing my password to something stronger and changing my security question etc.

Thanks for the advice. I'll let you all know what happens about 24 hours from now.


EDIT : 48 hours later : I ran both the accounts and they both signed off. So luckily it's not a hacking attempt. More than likely an update interrupting MSN connectivity. As long as it doesn't breach my security, i'm not too fussed. Thanks everyone for your help!
