There is a bug with MSN Messenger 7.5.0299 and Plus! 3.61.145 involving the comeback message feature.
I'll try and set out some steps to recreate this bug:
1) Leave a comeback message for a contact
2) Sign off
3) Sign on as appear offline
4) If your contact from 1) is now online a conversation window is opened with them even though you are appearing offline. The comeback message does not get sent although when you do change your status to 'online' then it no longer exists.

I presume this has something to do with MSN's signing in offline? Plus starts the process of sending the comeback message in the instant that you sign on (and your status is online) but does not get a chance to send the message before MSN has changed status to appear offline?

If it's trying to send msgs while u apear offline it's a bug, but talking while appearing offline works, so it should send the msg.

I have double checked - the message is not being sent. I dont have StuffPlug but I havn't experienced any chatting whilst appearing offline so I can't comment on that.

I'm just saying it SHOULD send the msg.
And SP doesn't have this feature yet, it's just a suggestion.

I'll check it now, to see if it sends or not.
EDIT: checked, it doesn't send the msg till I change back to online.

Interesting, mine doesnt send the message at all. Did you follow the instructions exactly? It is important that you sign in as appear offline, not just switch status's

sry, been a bit busy yesterday...
checked again, yup, it opens the window and delete the msg.
I haven't done it properly yesterday
so, it is a bug.

Reporting this bug here in the "bug reports" forum is the correct thing todo

Patchou will eventually see this and add this to his his to-fix-list...
