what is the size of the common pc harddrive?

i'm pretty sure it is 2.5", am i right?


i am going to buy a harddrive enclosure for my harddrive, but i dunno what type to get.

if you already have the hard drive shouldnt you measure this 1 just incase yours is dif?
or your pc if it is going in there and not just buy the standard?

so instead of just buying a standard enclosure check the dimensions of your hard drive and buy an enclosure to fit

3.5 for PC, 2.5 for laptop, for far most of the systems.
