The link is really does not matter as you cannot sign in with it unless you work at Microsoft or you are an MVP.

So long as no one posts links to the downgraders

Also, everybody who is using and/or linking to these private beta's and illegal patches: thank you for ruining the proper beta testing, prosponing the release of a public beta, and holding back the proper development of a final release.

Erm true. What i dont get is why people need to use leaked beta's If you can wait for a month or two you will get the public beta / actual release :-/

Just to clarify things ... i didnt download the file. I just saw the filesize ¬¬
Cant microsoft erm, i dont know .... first of all do something to prohibit downloads from their official sites .... this is the second time (both for wlm) that i have seen sites linking back to the microsoft servers O.o They didnt even host it on their servers ffs :|

Secondly, i dont know what method they are currently applying to prohibit the use of non approved .net passports on wlm beta's but is it a server side protection ?? Like the server should check if the address is valid. So then maybe these "downgraders" wont work ?? I dont know much about this stuff cause i havent read anything on how this works but shouldnt / couldnt they do something like this ??

Windows live messenger is not meant to be used by the public. It is a private beta and should/can be used (legally) by official microsoft testers who have been admitted to the windows live messenger beta testing program
I suggest you remove windows live messenger (since you are not an official beta tester) and you work with msn messenger 7.5 till an update is released
All messenger updates are available at http://messenger.msn.com and that is the site that should be refered to for the latest version :)
