Turn it into RGB, isolate the G channel, decrypt it... and you get a story about how the stapler guy got his nick, but nothing beyond that.

ok, i got all the G values, now how do i convert them
they con't convert from hex to ascii to spell anything

Ive isolated all the g channels, and analysing the patterns, heres what I found.
43 is a space.
106 is an a.
66 is an I.
37 is a period.
Thats all there is that has enough proof backing it. Time, if you could verify this, or give me the first word, it would be alot easier.
If I take this to school and analyse it over and over again, I might eventually solve it.
(Im also thinking 100 is an o, but im too tired to remember why I thought that)

I also got these three.
I havn't looked into the 37 being a period bit yet so I'm not sure about that. Apart from the above three I also found 100 is equal to "o". I think that 127 is either "s" or "t" but im really not sure about this yet.

afaik, its a block cipher so simply working out what each value represents wont work because blocks of the original are encrypted not each individual char (that would be a stream cipher)
