I can't seem to play any .avi's or mpegs in wmp10.  I can play them in wmp classic but not in version 10.  I tried reinstalling and still doesn't work.  Any suggestions?

It's a possibility that you might need the proper codec installed.

Download the DivX Codec and the XVid Coded

But I can play those files in WMP Classic though

do you get any error messages? if so tell us what they are. if not, when you play the file can you hear the sound or just the video?

in the playlist (normally on the right) it should have the file you trying to play in orange with a ! next to it.... right click it and goto error details.... what's that say?

acctually, i have a similar problem, mine used to say sum shit about drivers, but i sorted that with a few illegal downloads now, (when i play a DVD this is) it says something about my colour and monitor size is too good or something like that.... any suggestions?
