ok, I was wondering because I read a few articles where ppl that have had a similar issue as you were using AMD processors. I myself, am in love with AMD. Sorry, but thats just me!

about the extact error message, is it the one with the modname, modver, offset, appver or just the message saying "an error occur while running the game" which one? i'm new to this kind of thing so i not particularly sure
I would make sure that both your computer and the game are 100% upto date. Also, make sure you have the newest display drivers for your video card.
