O.P. question...?
would it be worth buying 1GB of ram, a decent graphics card, 60GB harddrive and basically totally upgrading my entire cpu or should i just get a new pc? edit: my cpu is a dell dimension XPS T500 (if that helps)
edit2: im looking to spend about £300-£500 (i suppose that doesnt mean anything to you yanks! i can get a new semi decent pc from dell for just over £500)
my specs (current):
OS: windows xp proffesional
RAM: 256MB
Harddrive mem: C:/ =9.52GB
                          D:/ =1.96GB
Graphics card: 3MB

my pc is poor...

If you want to upgrade your entire pc you could as well just buy a new one and place the parts you have now in the new if you want to keep them (I mean hard disks etc. by this)

he might yes if there's important data on it that he doesn't want to move to the new one (if he buys one).

the moniter isnt so great, its 17 inch but its HUGE!

Buy an entire new computer from Dell
- Including a new TFT monitor :P
If you upgrade your computer you'll only have problems in the future because it's still an old system with new hardware.

you sure? Dell are usually quite good for upgrading! and anyways, my pc has already had one giant overhaul for Harddrive, RAM and graphics but that was a while ago and with low quality hardware
