O.P. [Update!] Answer Phone FTP
EDIT: New version, 2.8

Here is the new version of the answerphone script. Although the name has changed to reflect the features, all of the old features remain. One of the major changes in this version is the ability to use a CSS stylesheet to format the uploaded logfile. This must be called my-stlye.css and uploaded to the same folder as the lgfile. An example is provided in the scripts folder. Because of the name change, it is necessary to remove the old AnswerPhone script. Otherwise you would have two versions running.

New in this Version
Removed a large bug whereby the answerphone window was displayed when WLM was locked. The auto-reply message (if set) is still sent and the message is logged as normal.

Features

  • Displays all received messages in a central interface window
  • Can work only when not online and not appearing offline, or in all statuses
  • Can reply to all messages received with a custom message
  • Uploads a log of all of the messages it receives to an ftp server.
  • Online logfile supports Cascading Style Sheets

I hope that you like this script. All feedback and comments would be appreciated!

EDIT: The website for the script can be found here. This and the official scripts database are the best places to find the latest updates. A new version should be posted there shortly.

Robert

Hi

I must say, this is a really cool script and have been using it for a week now.

I was just wondering, would it be possible to include the date & time a message was received in the XML file.?

Thanks.

Thank you for your kind comments! However, I'm one step ahead! The feature that you requested is already coded into the next version.

Thank you!

Wow, cool. Any idea when the next version should be ready?

Hello, very nice script,

two things can be changed... i hope you can put in into the script

first: not only uploading the answer messages, can you change the script to send all messages to ftp?

second: no toast message bye signing in (connect succesfuly to ftp)

thanks

Thank you for your comments. In response to both of the last two posts, I will try to include both of the features suggested, and then release a new version. I had already intended removing the message, because it can get very annoying. It is really just there from testing. Logging all messages is interesting. I presume that you want me to include your messages as well? In the new version which is already out, v2.5, all messages you receive can be uploaded without showing the answerphone screen.

Thank you,

Robert

Hi Rob

Another suggestion.

Could  Answer Phone FTP have the option to "remove" the stored answer phone messages, so that they are not uploaded again onn the next upload. This would remove messages you've already read from the online "answering machine".

Also, how can one find out which version your using? Could you maybe add an "About" window?

Thanks

The "reset" button in the settings window does this.

That's OK. It's not particularly clear. Your comments have been very helpful.
