O.P. Undecided  science help
well in science I need to figure out what CHO is the formula for what?
ex: h2o is water
      co2 is carbon dioxide



but what does cho make?

It doesn't make a proper combination, btw. It still has an unpaired electron and therefore attached to the carbonyl group.

RCHO is the chemical symbol for an aldehyde, an organic compound containing a terminal carbonyl group (C=O). -CHO is a functional group, which consists of a carbon atom which is bonded to a hydrogen atom and double-bonded to an oxygen atom.

Edit: Of course it doesn't make a proper combination; it is not a compound. It's a functional group, a radical.
