Not everyone leaves tonnes of lines and loads of comments. Most people leave 2-3 lines between a few functions or at important places with 1-2 lines for comments..
With a program with the complexity of SS that kind of size is expected

Many years back Plus! counted more than 50,000 lines of code (of which less than 500 where not written by Patchou himself). Posts of Patchou about this still exist on the forum (including Plus! source code )

I still remember he was going to release the source for Plus! 1.0 to show us how he hooked into msn messenger back then. I still haven't seen such a post

I don't have the knowledge....
According to Patchou in one of his posts, some small, but important, pieces of code were written by Will (wtbw), Nicolas and Ginge. That is, this was 4 years ago... dunno how it is now.
