Hi, well this is the scenio i have with the problem..

I login msn and i have a contact blocked. So i want to unblock the person so when i right click to unblock instead i see "block". So when i click on "block" nothing happens it stays on block. But when i right click again the "unblock" option is avaiable now and the weird thing is it only happens to ONE contact on my list.  I have already re-installed msn and again this porblem still rises.

Anyone know why this happens and how i can fix this problem?

Check for their email address in...

Tools>Options>Privacy - Block List

no the email address is in the allow

Try Deleting and Re-Adding the Contact?
EDIT: Can you talk to the person, even though they are "blocked"?

The problem is random and i have deleted and readded the contact. I havnt had a chance to try talking to the contact but i really doubt i can even talk to the person

All i can advise is download Stuffplug 3 so you can talk to blocked contacts Hopefully someone with a vaster knowledge *cough* Cookie will post later

okay it happened again to the only same contact, i even told them to delete me and re add me which still didnt solve anything. and also when i did click block the first time and tried to talk to the person it wouldnt allow me, i had to right clcik to finally get the option unblock..

Nah, I think it's a bug. You could see if this helps:
If you're running WLM 8.0.812, please download 8.1.178 from http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

If you're already running WLM 8.1.178 or greater, try disabling all your scripts, if you got any, and if the problem still is there, uninstall MP!L.
If the problem is gone then you know it's caused by MP!L, and should report the bug to Patchou.

Its M$ fault. happens because your contact list doesn't sync with M$ servers properly.

There away to delete your locally stored contacts list (could be corrupted) cookie kno's what to do, because he posted it few places. i stole it **ahem** posted it around different places. cant find it now thou.


like you delete msn folders in in documents and settings. and stuff. bit tired and sick at the min, so maybe i'll check how to do it for you tomorrow
