RE: HELP WITH SPONSOR PROGRAMME
go to Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel, pick Messenger Plus! Live and click Uninstall. A menu will pop up allowing you to choose whether you want to uninstall the sponsor or the whole program.

Thanks for you help.  I tried doing that but it says that the sponsor programme has been damaged by a third party and i will therefore have to uninstall and re-install messenger live to get rid of the sponsor programme :(

RE: HELP WITH SPONSOR PROGRAMME
In that case some anti-adware program probably damaged the sponsor uninstaller, but uninstalling Live Messenger is not required.

Do this:
- Disable all anti-adware / anti-virus software and any other program that might be interfering with the sponsor.
- Download Messenger Plus! and install it with the sponsor enabled (just install it again over your current installation, this will fix the damaged file)
- Now got to Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel and try again.

See How to uninstall ad-ware/sponsor for more info.
Finish the problem
