O.P. Dual monitors + xp home
I previously had dual monitors on vista and before that xp pro
Yesterday i installed Xp home Edition, it works fine, but the laptop doesn't detect the Secondary monitor, until i close the lid of the laptop, then it randomly detects the Monitor plugged in, ive tried uninstalling then installing the Graphic drivers, it
didn't change anything, i can make the monitor do the cloning thingy, but extended does not seem to work.
The display properties is supposed to look like http://www.mistywindow.com/windows/win-pics/displ...rties-settings.png if it detects more than one monitor
But it looks like http://www.wizard-net.com/i/DisplayProperties2.jpg Showing it has only detected 1 monitor (the laptop screen)

Help!
Thanks in advance

EDIT: I remember on xp pro under display adapters there was "Generic Non-PnP monitor" driver, but now there isnt one =/

Is there an Fn Key on your laptop for monitors?

My substandard laptop has an Fn+F5 for monitor controls which allow me to select a few options for monitors.
