Well, basically I've been working at my local College for around the last 3 months for a Job agency as they were a few men down. I was asked to send in an application form and the interviews were held yesterday. I dressed up smart, took my piercings out etc and did the trade test (Wiring up a plug, even though it's not part of the job). Today I was told I had the job. This means my pay is ~£14,000 a year (around £250 a week after tax) instead of £186 a week after tax... Plus I may be able to claim Working Tax Credits and add an extra £40 a week on top. Not bad really is it for a 19 year old?
They also want me to make a site for the Estates, Sites and Buildings department (my department) on the intranet to view, submit and complete jobs. Easiest job in the world too, except having to go down into the sewars beneath the college
