If you know the name, you can find the phone, and therefore the location.

Well imo it's possible but very unlikely.

Please tell me you don't actually believe that hacking a hotmail account is as simple as setting up brutus with a wordlist.

Porn sites' security != Multi-Million Dollar enterprise security.

If it really were that simple, then we would all lose access to our accounts on a daily basis.

@Ouija_46

More than likely, it's someone who you know, who knows your details and so on. The questions that the password recovery techs ask aren't really that hard and generally, most people with a good knowledge of you can generally lie their way through.

The other possibility is that you have an infected computer recording your keypresses and sending someone all of this.

The last possibility is that you have become the victim of a "Phishing" attack. Which means that you probably entered your email id and password at a site designed to make it look like the real live id login site.

RE: Hacking?
Social engineering is the easiest way to "hack" someones account. Get to know them, what they like, friend's names etc... Easy.

As for the phone book... I had a dodgy phone call a couple of weeks ago... Police tracked the number to a Mr X or blah road.

Census --> Phone book --> phone call --> One 18 year old punk in hospital :p
